SUPREME CHAMPION BABY BEEF at the Welsh Winter Fair went to Miss Dior a 413 kg British Blue x Limousin heifer shown by Phil & Sharon Sellers. This heifer was bred by Wendy Morgan & Trevor Price, Ty Rosser, Builth Wells. Miss Dior was sired by Blue Stone Cracker (Baron x Opticien). The impressive British Blue bull Cracker was sold by Owain Llyr to the Price & Morgan partnership. TOP PRICED Baby Beef at the Welsh Winter Fair was a fantastic £8,200 for Fancie, a 370 kg B.Blue x Limousin heifer shown and bred by Brian & Matthew Jones of the 'Bailea' herd, Sennybridge, Brecon. This super heifer was sired by the imported B.Blue bull Valdes van de Sluizenweg (sire - Osborne van Terbeck). Valdes was originally purchased by Owain Llyr on behalf of a customer to produce 'show type' crossbred calves. CHAMPION BABY BEEF STEER went to Rambo a 398 kg steer also sired by Valdes van de Sluizenweg. Rambo was bred and shown by Tecwyn Jones, Ty Newydd, Nebo, Llanrwst. Rambo was also baby beef reserve champion at Countryside Live. CHAMPION BABY BEEF at Countryside Live was Siani a 340 kg heifer again sired by Valdes van de Sluizenweg bred by master showman Tecwyn Jones.
